Thirty-something easy steps for DIY magnetic chalkboard wall.
- select the wall, any wall that you like. or rather, any you do not like.
- write a tiny note about it's destiny. pin it on the household bulletin board. wait for three days for any written objections.
- go to your local paint store and buy white paint, magnetic paint, chalkboard paint, painting tools and masking tape.
- stick the masking tape to all endangered artifacts around the wall.
- protect the floor with cardboard.
- paint the outer edges of the wall with white paint.
- do that twice.
- don't forget to wash the tools in between.
- wait for a day so the paint really dries.
- take masking tape and make a nice rectangle-perfect frame round the edges of the wall.
- bring in the magnetic paint.
- paint the wall once. from bottom to top or top to bottom. doesn't really matter. yes it's a slow progress work.
- clean the tools.
- wait for at least six hours.
- paint the wall for second time. from left to right, or right to left, doesn't really matter. yes it's a slow progress work.
- clean the tools.
- wait for another six hours.
- paint the wall for the third time. from top to bottom or bottom to top. doesn't really matter. yes it's a slow progress work.
- clean the tools.
- wait for at least six hours.
- put the magnetic paint away
- bring in the chalkboard paint.
- if painting with magnetic paint was slow then painting with chalkboard paint is super slow.
- paint the wall for first time. from left to right, or right to left, doesn't really matter. yes it's a super-slow progress work.
- clean the tools.
- wait for a day or so.
- paint the wall for second time. from top to bottom, or bottom to top, doesn't really matter. yes it's a super-slow progress work.
- clean the tools.
- keep your fingers crossed and remove the rectangular masking tape to reveal the white frame. do it slowly so the paint doesn't peel off
- remove the cardboard from the floor and put it away
- you are now done.
- be creative.
